CORRUGATED BASICS
DON’T BE DECEIVED BY CORRUGATED’S HUMBLE APPEARANCE
It may look like a simple container, but corrugated material houses a modern application of an ancient architectural truth: the shape of the arch, with a carefully calculated curve, is one of the strongest load-bearing shapes because of how it distributes horizontal and vertical force.
The arch principal was applied to corrugated in the medium or fluting that looks like wavy paper. When placed in between the flat paper liners, also known as linerboard, the fluting acts as a rigid wall when receiving pressure in one direction and a cushy pillow when receiving pressure from another.
The fluting and linerboard can be engineered with specific properties such as strength and weight-bearing ability to house your item and get it to its final destination safely.
