THE JIT STORY
The JIT story begins 25 years ago in Aurora, Ohio. Dave Jones was a wide receiver for the NFL Cleveland Browns. In the off-season, he was an independent contractor representing packaging companies. After his run in the NFL and offseason work in the packaging industry, Dave identified a need to provide customers with a better way to procure their corrugated needs. He started JIT with an office in his living room, a 7,000-square foot warehouse, one box truck and two employees.
In 1992, Dave’s son Jeff opened a facility in Atlanta, Georgia. In the same humble fashion as his father, Jeff soon opened two more facilities in Southern and Central Ohio. Today, JIT proudly employs over 70 associates and has over 250,000 square feet of operational space.
JIT is proud to work with more than 500 customers including chemical and product manufacturers, major automotive companies, commercial window and door manufacturers, and food and beverage companies.
